I’m not sure I understand why AARNews is promoting this article. I don’t think unknown national numbers help anyone in Arizona. The article says. “Just how big the foreclosure wave will be is unclear.” One line reads “inflicting new punishment on families”. What’s the point of the article???
For actual data in Maricopa County, I turn to the Cromford Report and the Information Market’s foreclosure numbers. Neither Michael Orr nor Tom Ruff think this wave is going to “flood” the Valley’s real estate market.
Maybe this article is to help listing agents get price reductions??? You got me.

Thanks for commenting on the article, Phil. I’d love to hear what other members think about pointing to sources like the LA Times. Perhaps if AAR’s news site highlights various perspectives on these hot-button topics, it can promote a dialogue among the site’s readers.
And thanks for the tips on Cromford Report and Information Market. I’ll contact them and see if they might provide commentary for an upcoming edition of AZ Realtor.
